ECNL College Impact – The Patriot League
RICHMOND, VA (November 21, 2016) – Elite Clubs National League College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact the ECNL has had on college women’s soccer since its founding in 2009, and which increases every year. Across college soccer, the “ECNL player” is the epitome of the next generation collegiate soccer player and collegiate soccer star.
The ECNL College Impact is measured by the number of ECNL alumni that have moved on to collegiate soccer, and by their contribution to collegiate athletic conferences all over the United States. This week, the ECNL examines the Patriot League Conference.
The ECNL College Impact for the Patriot League Conference includes all players currently active on Patriot League rosters:
- 145 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the Patriot League Conference – nearly 64% of the Freshmen in the Patriot League Conference are ECNL alums.
- 17 players of the Patriot League honorees are ECNL Alums – 51% of the players of the Patriot League honorees are ECNL Alums.
- The Patriot League Midfielder of the Year, Eliza Doll, the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, Rachel Bloznalis, and the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, Jessica Ratner, are ECNL Alums.
The Patriot League Conference includes American University, Boston University, Bucknell University, Colgate University, College of the Holy Cross, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Loyola University Maryland, United States Naval Academy (Navy) and United States Military Academy at West Point (Army).
