The ECNL College Impact – Atlantic Coast Conference

RICHMOND, VA (November 7, 2017) – With ECNL Alums making up 65% of the entire ACC in 2017, and nearly 60% of the conference’s individual honorees, the ECNL College Impact on the ACC is overwhelming. The ECNL College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact of ECNL Alums on collegiate women’s soccer every year. In 2017, once again, ECNL Alums are dominating the landscape in conferences all over the country.

The ECNL College Impact for the Atlantic Coast Conference includes all players currently active on ACC rosters:

  • 244 ECNL alumni are currently playing in the ACC – 65% of the players in the ACC are ECNL Alums.
  • There were 72 ECNL alums in the 2017 ACC freshman class, 69% of the total class.
  • The ACC Offensive Player of the Year (Imani Dorsey) and ACC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year (Schuyler DeBree) is an ECNL Alum.
  • Nearly 60% of the overall award winners are ECNL Alum.

The American Athletic Conference includes Boston College, Clemson University, Duke University, Florida State University, University of Louisville, University of Miami, North Carolina State University, University of Pittsburgh, University of North Carolina, University of Virginia, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and Wake Forest University.

With ECNL Alums constituting the majority of the conference and the overwhelming majority of conference honorees, it is clear where the future ACC stars are playing youth soccer.
