ECNL College Impact – The Horizon League

RICHMOND, VA (November 15, 2016) – Elite Clubs National League College Impact series catalogs the incredible impact the ECNL has had on college women’s soccer since its founding in 2009, and which increases every year. Across college soccer, the “ECNL player” is the epitome of the next generation collegiate soccer player and collegiate soccer star.

The ECNL College Impact is measured by the number of ECNL alumni that have moved on to collegiate soccer, and by their contribution to collegiate athletic conferences all over the United States. This week, the ECNL examines the Horizon League Conference.

The ECNL College Impact for the Horizon League Conference includes all players currently active on Horizon League rosters:

  • 58 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the Horizon League Conference- 22 of those ECNL Alums are freshmen.
  • The Horizon League Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year (Macy Hamblin) and Goalkeeper of the Year (Marina Manzo) are ECNL Alums.

The Horizon League Conference includes Cleveland State University, University of Detroit Mercy, University of Illinois at Chicago, Northern Kentucky University, Oakland University, University of Wisconsin Green Bay, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Valparaiso University, Wright State University and Youngstown State University.
