ECNL Alums Well Represented in 2015 Women’s College Cup

Womens-College-Cup-2015RICHMOND, VA (December 3, 2015) – Elite Clubs National League Alumni dominated the 2015 NCAA Division I Women’s College Cup Final Four, with 68 ECNL Alums on the rosters of the four teams that competed to be crowned the 2015 NCAA National Champions.

After only six years of ECNL soccer, the number of ECNL Alums playing at college soccer’s highest levels is staggering.  In total, the Final Four featured 68 players that played in the ECNL as youth players:

  • Duke – 20 ECNL Alums
  • Florida State – 5 ECNL Alums
  • Penn State – 18 ECNL Alums
  • Rutgers – 25 ECNL Alums

Not only is the ECNL the broadest path to the top college women’s soccer teams and conferences in the country, the rosters of the best of the best in these programs are also ECNL Alums.  The top four college teams in the country are dominated by ECNL Alums.

Duke University

  • 1 ECNL Alum on the 2015 ACC All-Conference First Team
  • 1 ECNL Alum on the 2015 ACC All-Conference Third Team
  • 2 ECNL Alums on the 2015 ACC All-Conference Freshman Team

Florida State University

  • 1 ECNL Alum on the 2015 ACC All-Conference Second Team
  • 1 ECNL Alum on the 2015 ACC All-Conference Third Team
  • 1 ECNL Alum on the 2015 ACC All-Freshman Team

Penn State University

  • 1 ECNL Alum on the 2015 Big Ten All-Conference First Team
  • 2 ECNL Alums on the 2015 Big Ten All-Conference Second Team
  • 1 ECNL Alum on the 2015 Big Ten All-Conference Freshman Team

Rutgers University

  • 2015 Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year (Casey Murphy, PDA)
  • 2 ECNL Alums on the 2015 Big Ten All-Conference First Team
  • 2 ECNL Alums on the 2015 Big Ten All-Conference Freshman Team
